The aim of Reflected and Balanced is to support educators' psychological wellbeing through direct support (see services) and by providing information that supports with understanding relevant work-related factors which may impact on employee psychological wellbeing.  The information available through the links on this page focuses on the potential impact on educators' psychological wellbeing of acting compassionately when working with children and young people who are living with vulnerabilities and/or trauma - a perspective on workplace wellbeing which is often overlooked in the education sector.

Understanding Compassion and the impact of 
compassionate acting

Compassion is associated with emotional intelligence and is generally regarded as a desirable characteristic and as contributing to wellbeing.  However, as well as being beneficial to the wellbeing of self and others, it may also come at a cost. So, here’s a closer look at compassion.
