psychological wellbeing
The aim of Reflected and Balanced is to support educators' psychological wellbeing through direct support (see services) and by providing information that supports with understanding relevant work-related factors which may impact on employee psychological wellbeing. The information available through the links on this page explores language related to mental health, stress and wellbeing, and provides a framework for understanding educators' workplace psychological wellbeing. As I have a particular interest in the impact on educators' psychological wellbeing when they are educating those who are living with vulnerabilities and/or trauma, and this often overlooked in the education sector, this area is explored in greater depth on the compassionate acting pages.
understanding psychological wellbeing at work
Often when we’re talking about wellbeing or mental health, we use the language of stress, burnout and mental ‘ill-health' instead. These are explored briefly on the working towards a shared language page.

Wellbeing isn't about the absence of stressors; it's about offsetting their impact with wellbeing enhancers so that there's an acceptable balance. As everyone will have a different view of what's acceptable to them and there are multiple factors at play, each interacting in a dynamic way, the following pages provide information and a framework (which can be personalised) to support with understanding and enhancing educators' workplace psychological wellbeing. I hope it’s helpful for identifying risks and benefits to psychological wellbeing in the workplace and for facilitating conversations about staff wellbeing. Please use the contact form/details to arrange a conversation about the content or to request related training and services.
